What’s Right with You?

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”

2 Cor 5:17

Has the devil told you you’re no good? Has hell beaten you down through the years convincing you you’re worthless? Or perhaps you have reiterated these lies in your own mind.

Jesus Christ takes what is wrong and makes it right. It is important that we do not waste our lives focusing on what’s wrong with us when we can focus on what’s right. Make no mistake - we cannot overlook the reality of sin or areas of need in our lives. However, I encourage us all to focus on Jesus and what He can do for us rather than focusing on our shortcomings. Jesus changes people. He changes our hearts and lives, and at a spiritual level, He makes new creations of us as stated in the Scripture above.

Do not believe the lies generated by hell, Hollywood, or our wayward culture dedicated to the flesh. Instead, choose to believe in the love letters (the Bible) written by God – to you.

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Isaiah 1:18

“37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

Acts 2:37-39

What is right with you child of God? Please allow me to remind you that Calvary says:

  • “I love you!”

  • “I believe in you!”

  • “You’re worth it!”

  • “I paid your debt… off!”

  • “You don’t have to live this way anymore!”

  • "You were made for more than this!”

  • “You’re not what they labeled you as!”

  • “I have a better future for you than your past!”

  • “You are valuable to Me!”

  • “You’ll thank Me for it later!”

  • “I believe that you will live for Me!”

  • “Let’s change the world together!”

It’s time to tell hell to shut up! Focus on the positive! Jesus Christ can turn our sinful past into a bright new future.

This is what is right with you:

  • The blood of Jesus

  • The name of Jesus

  • The new birth

  • The Word of God

  • Prayer

  • Worship

  • The Church

  • Giving

  • Love

  • Forgiveness

  • Having a servant’s heart

  • A lifestyle of holiness and separation from the world

  • A burden and love for souls

  • A determination to keep on living for God no matter what

We should always be quick to repent and allow Jesus to change us. Choose daily to focus on what’s right with you.

Here are several Scriptures to continue the development of what is right with you today:

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

 Gal 2:20

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain”

 Phil 1:21

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

 1 John 4:4

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

1 John 5:4
